The multimedia Europa Experience is available in the 24 official EU languages. The highlight of the exhibition is a 180° cinema with 18 seats + possibility of standing places. Two films, which last a total of 20 minutes and which can also be followed using headphones in all official EU languages, present the work of the European Parliament and the current role of the EU.
The media station ‘United in diversity’ describes concrete regional EU projects and programmes in a series of short videos. At another video station, ‘Europe in everyday life’, individual Europeans tell us why and how they are committed to common European objectives in the fields of nature conservation, culture or linguistic diversity. Other media tables provide information on the history, policies and functioning of the European Union.
Children and young people can also discover the EU in a playful way at the media tables with puzzles and quizzes. There is also a comprehensive selection of topical brochures in German and other official EU languages.
The team at the EUROPA EXPERIENCE will be happy to help with selecting information and providing advice to those who are interested.

Europa Experience - David Sassoli
The Europe Experience in Rome is dedicated to David Sassoli. The former President of the European Parliament passed away on January 11th 2022. A Member of the European Parliament since 2009, he was elected President in July 2019 for the first half of the legislature.
President Sassoli adopted extraordinary measures enabling the European Parliament to carry out its duties and exercise its prerogatives under the Treaties during the course of the pandemic. He also played a prominent role in championing an ambitious long-term EU budget and effective recovery facility. In addition, the late President led Parliament in showing its solidarity towards the less fortunate when the crisis first hit, with supportive actions in European Parliament’s host cities such as providing meals to charities and shelter in Parliament’s premises to women who are victims of violence. Determined to draw from the lessons of the pandemic, President Sassoli also launched a large reflection exercise with Members to rethink and reinforce Parliamentary democracy.
As a dedicated European, President Sassoli underlined in a speech at the European Council that “What Europe needs, and needs most of all, is a new project of hope. I think we can build that project on the basis of a powerful three-pronged approach: a Europe that innovates, a Europe that protects, and a Europe that illuminates.
