Between 1870 and 1945, Alsacians and Mosellans (natives of the region) changed their nationality four times as their borders became a flashpoint for the Franco-German rivalry.

Visit the Alsace-Moselle Memorial and find out all about the unique history of the region; from life on the Maginot Line and the destruction of World War II to Franco-German reconciliation and the reconstruction of Europe.

The last addition to the permanent exhibition is dedicated to Europe, Chemins d’Europe, complements the visitor experience, providing a historical perspective of European history and European integration since 1945.
