It is possible to combine our digital city walk with a group presentation. It is up to you to decide, but we recommend that you start with the city walk and continue with a presentation at Europa Experience. The digital city walk takes approximately an hour, starts at Christiansborg and ends at Europa Experience.

Unfortunately, we cannot fit more than 27 people into our presentation room. If you are a larger group, we will split the group in two. In this case, the first part of the group will receive a presentation while the other can visit our Experience centre or explore our digital city walk.

It takes approximately 30 minutes to explore our exhibition. You also have the opportunity to try our conversation cards. Here you can discuss some of the EU’s big subjects, such as refugees or climate crisis in the form of a small talk (a conversation that centres on everyday life) or a big talk (a conversation that centres on societal structures).

Schools and groups often visit our exhibition in conjunction with a presentation.

We strive to talk about the EU with all citizens - no matter age or prior knowledge of the EU. When you book a presentation, we will do our best to adapt it to your specific group. If you are visiting with a group of students, we recommend a prior basic understanding of:

1. The EU and what it does, including the three core institutions (The European Parliament, The European Commission and the Council of the European Union)
2. If needed, we will provide a list of recommended material for your preparation.

You can choose between the following themes for your presentation at Europa Experience:

1. Democratic challenges in the EU

   In this presentation, we explore the democratic development of the EU, and the status of democracy in the member states. We focus on recent developments in Hungary: Erosion of the legal system, anti-LGBTIQ+-laws and media legislation that challenges the freedom of the press. We also look at what the EU can do and does in such situations.

2. Migration and the EU

   In 2015-2016, 5 out of 27 EU member states handled 69% of all asylum seekers arriving to the EU. With this presentation, we explore the existing and future rules on migration from non-EU countries. Then we explore why EU member states have a hard time agreeing on a common solution. Lastly, we look at the rules governing movement between EU member states.

3. EU and the climate crisis

   Climate goals, climate actions and green transition. A lot of current political action is concerned with climate and environment - and with good reason. If we keep exploiting the resources of the earth as we do now, we will need three planets by 2050 to keep up. We have a look at the climate crisis and zoom in on the goals set by the EU to become climate neutral by 2050. Moreover, we discuss difficulties in kickstarting the green transition, who needs to be the driving force behind it, and if the consumers should compromise with their habits.

4. EU and Denmark: 50 years - what now?

   Once there were 6 now there are 27. Denmark became a member of the EU on January 1st 1973 and now celebrate our 50th anniversary. We will make a short outline of the history of the Union focusing on the most important events from a Danish perspective. Finally, we look into the crystal ball and discuss two of the biggest upcoming challenges for the EU.

There are no corona restrictions at Europa Experience. We follow the national guidelines for institutions classified as museums. We continue to thoroughly clean our facilities to ensure that our visitors can feel safe.
